DESCRIPTION:Did you know that the Tregaron Conservancy is a birding “hot spot”? Over 120 species of birds have been identified in our woodlands. Join birding expert Sam Krause on a walk to look and listen for Tregaron’s resident and visiting birds. \nThe group will gather at 8:00 am sharp at our street-side entrance at 3100 Macomb Street NW. \nTregaron has mulch trails and moderate elevation changes. Wear comfortable shoes. Binoculars are recommended. Questions? DESCRIPTION:Local musicians will perform in a variety of genres in “listening rooms” throughout Tregaron. \nMore details at Washington Performing Arts \nTregaron Unplugged returns in 2023\, promising an enchanting afternoon of acoustic bliss amidst the serene beauty of Tregaron Conservancy. This highly anticipated event brings together talented local musicians and nature enthusiasts for an intimate\, unplugged experience of chamber music\, contemporary folk\, opera\, and jazz. Against lush greenery and tranquil landscapes\, attendees will be treated to performances that transcend genres\, offering a harmonious blend of melodies and nature’s symphony. With its unique fusion of music and natural serenity\, Tregaron Unplugged invites guests to stroll through the park and immerse themselves in an unforgettable experience of sensory delights\, fostering a deep connection between art and the wonders of the great outdoors. \nPerformers include singer-songwriter Gëtte\, jazz ensemble Brad Linde OUTSIDE\, Mars Arts D.C. Strings\, sitarist Snehesh Nag\, and abstract painter Khalid Thompson. \nTregaron performances are free with required registration. \nPost-Concert Young Patron Event: Patrons age 40 and younger are invited to mix and mingle with other young arts fans and Washington Performing Arts Junior Board members at nearby Nanny O’Brien’s Irish Pub (3319 Connecticut Ave NW\, Washington\, DC 20008) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. \n  \nMars Arts D.C. is a partnership of Mars\, Incorporated and Washington Performing Arts\, with support from Jacqueline Badger Mars. \nThis event is made possible through the generous support of Events DC; Pepco\, An Exelon Company; and Elaine Rose. \nSpecial thanks to the following lead supporters of Washington Performing Arts’s mission-driven work: Jacqueline Badger Mars and Mars\, Incorporated; D.C.
