Join us on the north meadow for a free concert in our Mars Arts D.C. series\, featuring two exceptional artists: the Todd Marcus Trio and jazz vocalist Imani-Grace Cooper. The unique sound of Marcus’s trio focuses bass clarinet at center stage alongside bass and drums. Their performance blends original compositions with jazz standards\, showcasing Marcus’s rich musical vocabulary. \n\n\n\nImani-Grace Cooper\, known for her versatility and deep knowledge of jazz\, captivates audiences with her dynamic vocal performances. Having studied under the esteemed Connaitre Miller\, Imani-Grace has cultivated a successful jazz following in DC and has performed solo at the Apollo Theater during the Annual Harlem Jazz Week. SUMMARY:Tai Chi with David Harold – Tuesdays\, Wednesday\, Thursdays & Fridays
DESCRIPTION:David Harold Tai Chi\n\n\n\n\n\nWeekly Tai Chi practice led by David Harold on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays\, Thursdays\, and Fridays from 9-10 a.m. The group will gather west of the Lily Pond (or in the nearby Twin Oak meadow if the Conservancy is hosting another event). The nearest entrance is 3031 Klingle Road NW. \n\n\n\nNote: The program will only be canceled in the event of heavy rain\, high winds\, or thunderstorms\, or if David is unavailable.  Cancellations will be posted on the pop-up notice on the website home page.  \n\n\n\nNo registration is necessary\, but participants will be required to sign our standard release form at the start of the session. \n\n\n\nDavid Harold has been practicing Taiji and Qigong for over 40 years and teaching for much of that time. He has studied both Yang and Chen styles. He is retired from a career in psychotherapy and human services management. \n\n\n\nDavid is passionate about making Taiji and Qigong practice and principles accessible. For 15 years\, he led a free\, weekly public outdoor practice in Winston-Salem\, NC. That practice continues to be led by his students now that he has moved to DC. David is now particularly interested in using Taiji principles to build embodied peacemaking.
