DESCRIPTION:Join birding expert Sam Krause for an evening walk to listen for\, learn about and try to spot our resident owls and other night-time birds. \n\n\n\nThe group will gather at 8:30 pm sharp on the sidewalk by our pedestrian entrance gate on Klingle Road NW. The GPS address is 3031 Klingle Road NW. Note that there is not a street number sign\, but there is a Tregaron Conservancy sign above the gate. \n\n\n\nMore details and registration (required) are in the Eventbrite link below. \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease consider making a donation to support our year-round nature walks and help us maintain our treasured parklands here. SUMMARY:Tai Chi with David Harold – Tuesdays\, Wednesdays\, Thursdays
DESCRIPTION:Beginning on April 2\, the Conservancy will be hosting weekly Tai Chi practice led by David Harold on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. The group will gather west of the Lily Pond (or in the nearby Twin Oak meadow if the Conservancy is hosting another event). The nearest entrance is 3031 Klingle Road NW.  \n\n\n\nWeather note:  The program will only be canceled in the event of heavy rain\, high winds\, or thunderstorms. Practice is at your own risk; please watch the forecast and exercise prudence.  \n\n\n\nNo registration is necessary\, but participants will be required to sign our standard release form at the start of the session. \n\n\n\nDavid Harold has been practicing Taiji and Qigong for over 40 years and teaching for much of that time. He has studied both Yang and Chen styles. He is retired from a career in psychotherapy and human services management. \n\n\n\nDavid is passionate about making Taiji and Qigong practice and principles accessible. For 15 years\, he led a free\, weekly public outdoor practice in Winston-Salem\, NC. That practice continues to be led by his students now that he has moved to DC. David is now particularly interested in using Taiji principles to build embodied peacemaking.
