DESCRIPTION:Beginning on April 2\, the Conservancy will be hosting weekly Tai Chi practice led by David Harold on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. The group will gather west of the Lily Pond (or in the nearby Twin Oak meadow if the Conservancy is hosting another event). The nearest entrance is 3031 Klingle Road NW.  \n\n\n\nWeather note:  The program will only be canceled in the event of heavy rain\, high winds\, or thunderstorms. Practice is at your own risk; please watch the forecast and exercise prudence.  \n\n\n\nNo registration is necessary\, but participants will be required to sign our standard release form at the start of the session. \n\n\n\nDavid Harold has been practicing Taiji and Qigong for over 40 years and teaching for much of that time. He has studied both Yang and Chen styles. He is retired from a career in psychotherapy and human services management. \n\n\n\nDavid is passionate about making Taiji and Qigong practice and principles accessible. For 15 years\, he led a free\, weekly public outdoor practice in Winston-Salem\, NC. That practice continues to be led by his students now that he has moved to DC. David is now particularly interested in using Taiji principles to build embodied peacemaking.

SUMMARY:Chamber Concert at the Shipman Terrace
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an free chamber trio concert featuring Johnny Walker and Friends of the Washington Conservancy of Music\, co-presented with the Cleveland & Woodley Park Village. Johnny Walker is a highly regarded cellist who has performed with Grammy Award-winning artists including Yo-Yo Ma\, Joshua Bell\, Esperanza Spalding\, and the Eagles\, as well as appearing on NPR’s Tiny Desk. \n\n\n\nThe concert will take place in the peaceful setting of the Shipman Terrace at Tregaron\, which is just west of the Lily Pond (in front of the fence at the edge of the park). Bring a blanket or small chair. Enter through the Tregaron gate in the 3000 block of Klingle Road NW.
