Expert Talk, Discussion and Optional Tour – Our Changing Climate: How Communities and Green Spaces are Adapting

Join renowned scientist Dr. Bruce Stein to learn about the latest strategies for adapting to our changing climate, globally and here at home. Dr. Stein’s talk and Q&A session will be followed at 2:30 by optional small-group tours of Tregaron highlighting the Conservancy’s ongoing climate adaptation efforts.
Dr. Stein is the Emeritus Chief Scientist of the National Wildlife Federation. Trained as a biologist, he is an internationally recognized expert in climate adaptation and has led the development of influential conservation and adaptation guides, including the widely used Climate-Smart Conservation planning approach. Dr. Stein has advised U.S. and international agencies on biodiversity and climate change. He is the author of many publications and is currently the Adaptation Lead for the IUCN Species Survival Commission’s Climate Change Specialist Group.
