Ten years ago, Tregaron Conservancy was founded to steward the historic Tregaron landscape, protecting it from development in perpetuity. At the time, Tregaron’s design features were severely degraded, with trails, stairways, bridges and other historic attributes hidden from view by erosion and covered in vines. Trees, flowering plants and other natural features had suffered from decades of neglect as well.
Since 2006, the Tregaron Conservancy community and its many partners have been dedicated to rehabilitating the landscape according to the remarkable Platt/Shipman designs and restoring the health of our wild gardens. The community’s incredible dedication has made this initial decade of work possible. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has helped make Tregaron the beautiful gem that it is today.
Throughout this milestone anniversary year, we will be celebrating the progress we’ve made and sharing announcements and updates on exciting new projects. We hope you’ll join us in launching our next decade and extending the legacy of this treasured landmark. If you’d like to help us celebrate or to sponsor a 10th anniversary landscape project, contact us at info@tregaronconservancy.org. We hope to see you often this year!
