On Saturday, November 15th, more than 50 hearty and enthusiastic people turned out for a geological tour of Tregaron Estate.  While the weather was chilly, the guests were vigorous — climbing up and down hills, crossing streams, and inspecting interesting large rocks and unusual trees.  Tour guide, geologist and hydrologist Tony Fleming described the main bedrock units exposed in Tregaron.  For more details on Tony’s terrific talk, see the post below.  We were joined by John Malinowski, the lead engineer for the Klingle Valley Trail, and by Karen Jennings, a geomorphologist who is working on the storm water issues for the trail.  They described the Klingle Valley Trail project and took questions too.  Many thanks to Tony, John and Karen!  Here are some photos from this wonderful event:
