Service Learning with Maret School 4th Grade Class

November 17, 2019

StudentsWe are delighted that 4th grade students (and teachers) from Maret School will be joining us at the Conservancy this year for service learning. In addition to the Horizons at Maret campers we host during the summer and Upper School students who volunteer on school service days, Tregaron Conservancy is now part of the Lower School’s service learning curriculum.

The 4th graders will be planting, clearing storm debris, cleaning trail signs, and removing invasives. Along the way, students will have the opportunity to learn about preserving urban green space, conserving water and other resources, and enhancing habitats. It’s a pleasure to be working with this energetic and dedicated group of volunteers!
