The Tregaron Conservancy was one of the Non Government Organizations (NGOs) that participated in a Global Issues Network Conference co-sponsored by the Washington International School (WIS) and the School Without Walls today. Many interested students asked good questions about the mission and sustainability of the Conservancy. Others were hoping for summer jobs. Quite a few offered to volunteer at the Tregaron and help the Conservancy fight invasive species, plant native trees and bushes, and engage in general clean-up. Three young women from WIS braved the cold, embarking on an extended tour of Tregaron’s trails, meadows, and lily pond valley. They brainstormed about possible fundraisers for the Conservancy and have followed up with emails about concerts and social media campaigns. The Conservancy thanks Naina, Phoebe, and Rumya for their enthusiasm and good ideas.
